I often wonder…
Just like any thinking person who is always confused trying to solve few riddles in life I too sometimes wonder! Why do so many Sai devotees build so many temples? True that to spread the teachings of Baba and spread His name is a seva. However, did Baba ever insist we collect funds and build a temple for Him? If I remember right Baba said to few of His devotees never to take loan to visit Him as He is omnipresent and there for all His devotees wherever they are. Few amongst us is allotted His seva according to the capacity in each. One is asked to do Parayan, one is doing the ritual of doing daily worship (pooja), few feeding beggars, needy, dogs, cats, cows and birds. Some look after the weak downtrodden human and animals. Baba loved to feed the hungry as nothing is more uncomfortable than going hungry either in a living being or in plants.
Why every person wants to build only a temple?
Why donate lakhs of Rupees for getting an idol of Baba? Who they want the idol to look exactly like how Baba looked? Dint Baba say I am not this 3 ½ cubic feet body? Dint he tell Laxmi bai shinde mai to feed the hungry and that His hunger is satiated? Even the presence of God amongst us did not change the attitude we have. Not once, we feel good to feed a dog on the street in Shirdi or near our homes but take ample Prasad to Baba and we distribute amongst ourselves. (Already all of us are fed well at home and after partaking that Prasad too we go home and eat)
If Baba said am there in all living being then why ignore Baba and give more importance to concrete structure?
Few temples where in we go for tranquillity and solace are they not enough?
Do we need a temple for each one of us?
It is tough to follow everything but to be conscious of Babas existence makes one-do things, which were dear to Him.
I try and seek Babas guidance all time not to make me forget these small actions, which make the Mayi (Baba) happy.
mmmmmm.... interesting post ..... "why....why.....why....why"only if we knew the answers to this "why" ....at times even I used to wonder why people donate soo much gold at shirdi ...baba never cared for all of this then realized all this is very individualistic ...depends from person to person... one's way of thinking / knowledge / awareness / bhakti level ....we all are love incarnate but over a period of time / incarnations the level / purity of that divine quality has got lost ...it is covered with piles & piles of ignorance... some are blessed & are in touch with that divine qlty within them hence they have compassion towards others / animals ..etc......even in Shri Sai Satcharitra - Mausi bai's experience ...that every devotee should be allowed to serve BABA in there own way & he is capable to gauge the merits and worth of the service rendered unto Him ....whatever one does in the end it is the purity & the intensity of that intention what really counts.....

its a good write up. as long as ppl spend their own money to do for the God they believe in its absolutely all right. but when they ask for donations or shortfall of funds to complete the task they started its not good at all. somtimes one is compelled to do things one is not comfortable doing out of courtesy
