Let us read & know a little about the famous NANDA DEEP in Lendi Bagh.
The NANDA DEEP is an ever burning oil lamp lighted by SHRI SAI during
HIS Lendi visits.Abdul Baba was given the duty to look after the lamp &
replenish it daily with oil. During SHRI SAI's visits to the Lendi.HE was
accompanied by Abdul only.SHRI SAI according to Abdul sat behind the
NANDA DEEP in a manner from where the lamp was not visible to HIM.
Abdul used to bring pots of water which SHRI SAI then used to pour in
various directions.Why did SHRI SAI sit always behind the NANDA DEEP
& not in front facing it ? A difficult question indeed but what is believe
by many is that SHRI SAI HIMSELF being KNOWLEDGE Personified,
HE needs it no further as HE is already PURNA (Full).Thus HE need not
meditate nor even gaze at the NANDA DEEP.Because as knowledge cannot
meditate on knowledge,SHRI SAI sat behind it.
