Various duties were assigned to devotees by SHRI SAI during HIS lifetime . Jyotindra Tarkhad was given the job of cleaning & lighting the petromax lanterns every evening at the Dwarkamayi .While performing his sacred duty daily for a few days ,Tarkhad observed that the moment he lit the lamps, various insects gather around the lanterns & however around them for a while & then drop down dead .He expressed his fears of incurring sin due to this to SHRI SAI who answered
" HEY BHAU ,YOU ARE MAD . DO YOU THINK THAT THESE INSECT WILL LIVE
IF YOU DO NOT LIGHT THE LAMPS & DIE IF YOU DO SO.THESE INSECTS ARE
DESTINED TO DIE SO EVEN IF YOU DO NOT LIGHT THE LAMPS .THEY WILL GO ELSEWHERE WHERE THE LANTERNS ARE LIT & DIE THERE . THIS IS ALL LORD'S CREATION.THOSE WHO ARE BORN MUST DIE AS ORDAINED BY THE LORD.YOUR MAIN INTENTION IS TO LIGHT THE LAMPS & THUS NOT INDULGING IN ANY SIN.DO NOT WORRY & GO ON WITH YOUR WORK"
