Bhagat Mhalsapaty's contact with SHRI SAI was on very intimate terms. It was not just SHRI SAI who kept Bhagat on perpetual poverty by disallowing any one to give him even a penny but his ishta Devata GOD KHANDAOBA also willed it so .A goldsmith by profession,Mhalsa could not run his business & he was so to say unfit for not just this profession but for material life as a whole. His land also yielded nothing .One day while meditating on KHANDOBA he had a vision in which KHANDOBA appeared & said." WHAT ? CAN YOU NOT GET YOUR BREAD
WITHOUT YOUR PROFESSION OF A GOLDSMITH " Mhalsa answered, " Yes,I shall give up." Then GOD KHANDOBA said " TOUCH MY FEET & HOLD TO MY FEET." which meant evidently that Mhalsa should depend on his Ishta Devata & SAI for his sustenance & thus the rest of his life , he resorted to the begging bowl
with complete surrender to SHRI SAI. This pious soul passed away on ekadashi, 11/09/1922.
BOLO JAI SAI !..................
