SHRI SAI once told a story that HE visited a particular place & the village Patil there would not let HIM go unless he made a plantation and a hard footpath thrue it. He said he completed both .The meaning of this story according to late E,Bharadwaja is that GOD is the landlord or Patil. Raising the plantation signifies the foundation of a spiritual centre. The footpath stands for the spiritual path which SHRI SAI had to lay for HIS devotees. The parable indicates that
GOD has ordered SAI to play the role of a GURU. It is interesting to note however that SHRI SAI did raise a garden at the spot where now stands the Samadhi Mandir which is the beacon light to innumerable spiritual seekers.SHRI SAI also once told Upasani Maharaj to plant many trees that will live for centuries meaning the planting of seeds for spiritual growth which must endure for ever .

Every devotee tries to visualize How Baba looked like. They try to see how Dwarakamai, Chavadi looked like when Baba walked on the soil of Shirdi. Are we able to visit Baba back in his times when we visit Shirdi now?
