In July 1948 a batch of Hydrabad SAI devotees left for Shiridi & in those days the Godavari river could only be crossed by boat .As the river was in spate, the cartman who brought them upto Godavari suggested he could ferry them across thru the low level bridge to avoid transhipment by boat though it was risky due the bridge being partly submerged.Unfortunately, half way thru one of the cart wheels got stuck to a boulder & panic gripped the devotees who chanted SHRI
SAI's name in chorus while all were ready to meet the watery grave .Suddenly from nowhere, a middle aged man appeared in front of the bullock cart & assumede control of steering the cart of his own accord. The boulder was removed by the cartman while the stranger piloted the cart safely to the other shore.Anxious crowds on the opposite shore rejoiced with shouts of JAI SAI BABA while the stranger just vanished after that .

Every devotee tries to visualize How Baba looked like. They try to see how Dwarakamai, Chavadi looked like when Baba walked on the soil of Shirdi. Are we able to visit Baba back in his times when we visit Shirdi now?
