In 1949 , Sri Shantavanji , a devotee of Bhagwati Gayatri was,for reasons unknown,feeling depressed & in a fit of frenzy jumped in to a river near Palanpur ,Gujarat . Immediately, a fakir appeared from nowhere & prevented Shantavanji from ending his life, Such were the force of the fakir's words that Shantavanji
just followed him like a dumb creature. The fakir then took him to a railway station, purchased a ticket for him, made him board a train & vanished. 30 years later in 1979 when Shantavanji was invited to attend the DATTA JAYANTI celebrations in SAI temple at Surat, he was surprised why he was selected
to do puja at the TEMPLE as he was not a SAI devotee nor had he ever visited Shiridi. SHRI SAI meanwhile appeared in Shantavanji's dream that DATTA JAYANTI night saying " HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ME WHO SAVED YOU 30 YEARS AGO NEAR PALANPUR ?" Shantavanji now understood that it was SAI who saved him.

Every devotee tries to visualize How Baba looked like. They try to see how Dwarakamai, Chavadi looked like when Baba walked on the soil of Shirdi. Are we able to visit Baba back in his times when we visit Shirdi now?
