Jai Sai

A lady devotee visited Shiridi in Oct 1917 and was asked by SHRI SAI what she desired. She replied "let me be free from the cycle of birth and death ". SHRI SAI laughed saying " IS THIS ALL YOU WANT? HAVE YOU COME HERE TO DIE "? The lady could not understand what SHRI SAI meant & SAI said " THINK WHO YOU ARE". Still the lady could not understand whereupon SAI pointing to her husband said he will explain . Her husband however said later "SAI's words are mysterious .But what HE means is that the Jiva goes on reincarnating till it gets liberated. SHRI SAI is GOD but few have full faith and thus do not see HIM or have Sakshatkar . The Shastras tell us that JIVA and SIVA are ONE . Thus SAI wants you to regard yourself as SIVA or GOD." The lady however said that she was a Jiva a pretty sinner and not SIVA. The husband convinced
her that SHRI SAI means to say to regard oneself constantly as GOD which over time thru various births would fructify
