Very little is known about SHRI SAI's early life and HIS advent in Shiridi but what facts we gather from the elders residing then in Shiridi are pieced together to enlighten us though a little on this subject . Upon HIS first arrival in Shiridi as a young lad of 16 , SHRI SAI made the gode Neem trees as HIS abode. Not minding the weather extremes, HE meditated day in and day out under the Neem tree . On one occasion , there was incessant rain in Shiridi and the village was flooded with many houses being swept away . The Neem tree where SHRI SAI sat was also recovered 1/4 with water and surprisingly it submereged SHRI SAI as well though that did not wake HIM even a bit from HIS Samadhi state. When the water receded, villagers were surprised to find that SHRI SAI was still in a meditative pose though HIS whole body was covered with mud. They concluded HE (the lad) had extraordinary divine powers.

Every devotee tries to visualize How Baba looked like. They try to see how Dwarakamai, Chavadi looked like when Baba walked on the soil of Shirdi. Are we able to visit Baba back in his times when we visit Shirdi now?
