Once a blind bitch (female dog ) appeared before Upasani Maharaj at the khandoba Mandir in 1914 & was terribly starved.Being blind the poor creature could not move from place to place & would return at the spot where it was driven out.Remebering the words of SHRI SAI that no hungry creture should be driven away, Upasani fed the bitch regularly after which it regained its health. As Upasani Maharaj had already acquired the devine power of the third eye , he clearly saw taht the blind bitch was none other than his deceased mother in law & once again remembered SAI's words that if a creature despite being driven out repeatedly & yet returns back , there exists a strong RINANUBANDH which must not be ignored . Strangely , the bitch did not eat for 8 days after the SAMADHI of Gajanan Maharaj OF Shegaon. This noble animal later died at Khandoba mandir in 1917 which it never left till it lived .

Every devotee tries to visualize How Baba looked like. They try to see how Dwarakamai, Chavadi looked like when Baba walked on the soil of Shirdi. Are we able to visit Baba back in his times when we visit Shirdi now?
