JAI SAI

Once when SHRI SAI was seated at the Dwarkamayi, a woman came with a basket of custard apples & was coaxing SAI to buy them. She quoted a high price which HE refused. The woman then agreed to sell 6 fruits for 10 annas & they were bought. In the meantime, another woman came with the same fruit & to her SAI offered to pay only 6 annas for 10 fruits to which the 2nd woman agreed. SHRI SAI then asked Shama the total amount to be paid to both. Shama answered " 1 rupee(16 annas)." SHRI SAI asked some one present to give Rs 2/- of which HE paid Rs 1/- each to both women. The devotees could not understand this act of SHRI SAI which HE HIMSELF then clarified thus. " WHEN THE 1ST BASKET CAME , THE FRUITS WERE SCARCE & THUS 10 ANNAS FOR 6 WAS SETTLED. AT THE TIME OF THE 2ND BASKET THE FRUITS WERE NOT SCARE THUS 6 FOR 10 WAS THE DEAL. AS FOR THE ACTUAL PAYMENT, EACH WAS PAID ACCORDING TO HER POORVA (PAST) KARMA.
