Two SAI devotees who were totally denied any material benefits but were rather uplifted spiritually by SHRI SAI were Bhagat Mhalsapathy and Abdul Bhai ( ABDUL BABA ) .In the case of Bhagat he & his family were living in abject poverty even before SHRI SAI came to Shiridi. SAI did little to relieve him materially but helped him grow spiritually. He was provided little food & told not to sleep at night but keep watch over HIM. Abdul Bhai was also treated similarly.Having come penniless to Shiridi from Nanded in 1989, Abdul performed the job of scavenger cleaning the lanes of Shiridi & also lighting the lamps at Lendi, Masjid & Chavadi. SHRI SAI told Abdul " DO NOT SLEEP MUCH , EAT LITTLE, READ THE KORAN. THINK OF WHO I AM !" Both these devotees ( BHAGAT & ABDUL BHAI ) were in effect trained to control hunger & sleep. Their sacrifice then resulted in the prosperity of their descendantstoday. Is it not ?
