RINANUBANDHA Part 4: Santaram B. Nachne Dahanu, BBY ; Santaram Nachne's rinanubandha with SHRI SAI was somewhat of different type. Not even having heard of SHRI SAI before, a sage visited his house and asked formeals and in particular the sage wanted that he be served ladies finger ( bhindi bhaji ) which waas too poor a stuff for serving it to holy persons. At the same time Nachne's elder brother who was then undergoing operation at Bombayhospital was visited by a Sadhu who assured him that all would be well. And so it was. When Nachne 1st visited Shiridi in 1912, SHRI SAI on HIS own said," I KNOW HIM (Santaram ).I HAD BEEN TO HIS HOUSE FOR MEALS. HE WOULD NOT SERVE ME BHENDI BHAJI. I HAD TO ASK HIM AND THEN IT WAS SEREVED." SAI's watchful eye over Nachne saved if from many mishaps that were to befall him. The most important work SAI did was to grant sadgati to his 2nd wife who passed away in 1929.
