20 miles of Shiridi there is a place called Nimon. In Dec 1917, at Shiridi , SHRI SAI while giving

UDI to Somnath Deshpande ( son of Nana Nimonkar ) said, " PORALA JIV LAV ( save the child )"

Mistaking SAI's words as those which were intended for his son, Somnath gave that udi to him.

On reaching Nimon, Somnath found his 12 day old nephew on the verge of death. Praying fervently

to SAI to save the child, he took the boy on his lap and what a wonder ! the boy recovered. The nephew

was named Datta. Datta's rinanubandha with SAI began from that day. Today ( 11th jan, 2012 ) I received

news that our beloved Dadaji Dattatreya Nimonkar passed away at Nimon this morning thus ending the

long 93 + years of rinanubandha with SAI. A week before his death , he had visited Shirid even at this age

where he had prophesised that it would be his last . And so it was. He had also told his well wishers that

SHRI SAI was calling him.
