Jai Sai

In the early decades following SHRI SAI's Mahasamadhi, HIS pictures were available in only
5 poses: SAI sitting on a Stone, the DWARKAMAYI pose, the BHIKSHA pose the ASHIRWAD
pose & the SAMADHI picture. What do these poses of SHRI SAI signify? The SITTING ON
STONE posture indicates that to meditate on HIM 1 must do so from HIS toe upwards as
mentioned in CH 22 of SAI SATCHARITA with more details on it. The DWARKAMAYI pose
signifies SHRI SAI in a relaxed mood ready to attend to devotees' wishes & problems. The
SAMADHI picture says the statue of SHRI SAI signifies peace & tranquillity. A realised ATMAN
like SAI is always in perpetual bliss & silence because in silence only is voice of the Atman heard.
The BHIKSHA pose indicates that to realise the ATMAN a spiritual aspirant must practice humility
as EGO is a great impediment to spiritual progress. The ASHIWAD pose tells us to have faith &
patience.

OM SAI !..................................
