Jai Sai

In May 1915 Santaram Nachne went to Shirdi with his mother in law & others. They stayed at Sathe wada a portion of which was occupied by Dada Kelkar, father in law of H.S. Sathe. Dada Kelkar never ate onions & when he saw Nachne's mother in law slicing onions, he made some harsh remarks which offended the old lady. A few hours later Dada Kelkar's grand daughter's eyes started to burn & she cried. Dada took the girl to SHRI SAI who said, "APPLY ONIONS IN THE EYES." When Kelkar asked SAI where to fetch onions, the latter pointed to Nachne' mother-in-law & said,"ASK THIS MOTHER." The old lady already hurt by Kelkar's remarks earlier refused to give onions & told SAI how she was insulted by him. But, she would still give if SAI ordered. SAI said,"GIVE ONIONS 2 DADA." The lady obeyed & after applying them in the child's eyes, she was cured. Kelkar learnt his lesson never to pass bad remarks to anyone.
