Swami Sai Sharananand (VAMAN RAO PATEL) was told once by SHRI SAI about HIS Guru thus, "MY GURU'S NAME IS ROSHAN SHAH." Vamanrao took these words of SHRI SAI as an advise to him to worship the sun & being a brahmin by caste, Vamanrao was required to do Surya puja three times a day & repeat Gayatri mantra which SHRI SAI made him do several thousand times for expiation of certain sins committed by him. SAI also advised Vamanrao to offer a few rice oblations in the fire & set apart certain portions for gods, guests, cows, dogs, etc by performing the Vaishvadeva ceremony before taking meals. Vamanrao was confirmed in his belief tht SHRI SAI's repeated use of the word ROSHAN as HIS guru meant LIGHT (Roshan) that is knowledge. Vaman Rao believes its also possible tht ROSHAN SHAH, SAI'S GURU whom HE served for 12 years did exist materially & was entombed near the Neem tree at Gurusthan, Shirdi.

Every devotee tries to visualize How Baba looked like. They try to see how Dwarakamai, Chavadi looked like when Baba walked on the soil of Shirdi. Are we able to visit Baba back in his times when we visit Shirdi now?
