Balkrishna W.Vaidya, Railway employee (GIP),Bandra , Mumbai , visited Shiridi for the 1st time in1910-1911. It was almost 1am when he and his family reached Shiridi and lodged at Sathe Wada .Being a Sankastha Chaturthi day the family ate faral (light meal ) and retiered to bed . Next morning,SHRI SAI got up early and took the resident devotees to ask for not providing food to Vaidya and his family on their arrival. In a rather angry tone, SHRI SAI said " MY CHILDREN ARRIVED LAST NIGHT. NONE OF YOU LOOKED AFTER THEM AND MADE THEM FAST". He drove away those devotees then present to punish them for their negligence. The expelled devotees came to Vaidya and apologised but since he did take light meals the previous night, to tell the same to SAI to clear the matter which Vaidya did . SHRI SAI then said", MAY GOOD BEFALL YOU ". This shows the intense paternal love HE had for Vaidya and his family .
