Jai Sai

Amidas Mehta lent Vasantrao a sum of Rs 600/- which the latter could not repay due to his weak
financilal condition.Amidas however learnt that to save the embarrassment of facing his wrath for
non-payment, Vasantrao hid himself in Shiridi which Amidas Mehta soon found out and reached
there to catch him. Merciful SAI , seeing Vasantrao's predicament told Amidas " WAIT FOR
TWO DAYS MORE AND YOU WILL GET YOUR PAYMENT ." On the third day morning,
a stranger appeared at Amidas Mehta's house and cleared the full payment om Vasantrao's account
told Amidas that the receipt be handed over to him. When Vasantrao learnt how SHRI SAI in the
guise of a stranger went Amidas house and cleared his dues, he was moved to tears . This was a
turning point in Amidas Mehta's life and he rushed to Shiridi and apologised to SHRI SAI and
thereupon settled in Shiridi and served HIM. Amidas Mehta passed away on 31.01.1923 and his
samadhi is in Lendi Bagh.
