During Raghuvir Purandhare's 1st visit to Shiridi in about 1908, SHRI SAI asked him to go to school. Unable to understand what SHRI SAI meant , Kaka Dixit clarified that Purandhare should go to Radhakrishnamayi ( Ayi)'s house . When Purandhare went there , he found the door shut & despite knocking it few times, Ayi did not open it. He freturned to the Masjid & told SAI about it who then sent Purandhare again. This time , Ayi opened the door & fell prostrate
at his feet weeping profusely. But from that day till Ayi's demise in 1917, Purandhare treated Ayi as his mother which she reciprocated by treating him as her son. Purandhare observed taht Ayi was an unique & extraordinary personality who sang bhajans with such devotion that she woud at times suddenly stop singing them & burst into laughter or into tears. Ayi was, like SAI, very unpredictable. Her tounge was sharp which offended many. Such was our Ayi.

Every devotee tries to visualize How Baba looked like. They try to see how Dwarakamai, Chavadi looked like when Baba walked on the soil of Shirdi. Are we able to visit Baba back in his times when we visit Shirdi now?
