Shri Dattatreya J.Raje, Public Prosecutor, Thane, Mumbai did a weekly Parayan of SAI SATCHARITA at his residence in june 1955 and on the concluding day , a fakir turned up and asked for food which was duly served. After his meals, the fakir asked for dakshina but Shri Raje had no money with him and said his friend owed him (Raje) Rs 50 and that should be pay up , Rs 10 dakshina could be given. The fakir replied ," OH DON'T WORRY, YOUR FRIEND WILL TURN UP TODAY BETWEEN 3-4 PM AND PAY YOU THE MONEY. I WILL COME AT 5PM AND TAKE MY DAKSHINA ." Surprisingly, Raje's friend came at 3:15pm to his house and cleared his dues, Exactly at 5 pm , the same fakir turned up and said, " YOU HAVE GOT YOUR DUES IS IT NOT ? NOW AT LEAST GIVE ME MY DAKSHINA." With great delight. Raje paid Rs 10 dakshina on receiving which the fakir gave Raje a few roses and udi and disappeared. When Raje realised the fakir could be SAI , it was to late by then.
