Some discussion were going on once among devotees about when and how SHRI SAI
donned a headgear. Well since 1923 some research has been going on to unravel this mystery.It is widely believed that SHRI SAI's Guru SHRI GOPAL RAO DESHMULH had given SAI this headgear before HIS Samadhi . But what is the authenticity of this widely held belief ? There is no record about SHRI SAI's headgear prior to HIS arrival in Shiridi. But some devotees say their grandparents who were there in Shiridi between 1840-1860 never saw a cloth tied on SAI's head on HIS first arrival there. Then when did HE tie it and what made HIM do so ?A mystery indeed. Some devotees say after SHRI SAI lost a wrestling bout with Mohddin Tamboli, HE changed HIS dress. Its presumed that SHRI SAI wore the headgear only after HE settled in Shiridi. Anyway leave it na ! How does it matter what SHRI SAI wore and when Let us just bask in HIS DIVINE GLORY .

Every devotee tries to visualize How Baba looked like. They try to see how Dwarakamai, Chavadi looked like when Baba walked on the soil of Shirdi. Are we able to visit Baba back in his times when we visit Shirdi now?
