A SCORPION FORGETS ITS STING

Is it right to kill snake or scorpion was the discussion in Shri Sai Satcharitra Chapter XXII and Baba gave a simple answer “God lives in all beings and creatures, whether they are serpents or scorpions? He (God) is the Great Wirepuller of the world, and all beings, serpents, scorpions etc., obey His command. Unless He wills it, nobody can do any harm to others. The world is all dependent on Him and no one is independent. So we should take pity and love all creatures, leave off adventurous fights and killings and be patient. The Lord (God) is the Protector of all”. Here is Leela (enchanting happenings) where the scorpion forgets its disposition.
In what other way, can we express our gratitude to the ever loving and caring Mother Sai than sharing this Leela with all? On 1st July 1988, J Vasundara Devi’s brother was going to Delhi and her mother was preparing food for his journey. She cooked rice and immediately placed it all in a plate and went out for few moments. When she again, returned to the kitchen she was surprised to see two very big cavities in the hot rice plate. She called everyone, they all saw the plate and prayed to Baba for taking such hot rice just to show us His Leela and shower His blessings on us.
They decided to go to Sai Mandir in Scindia and pay their respects to Him. It's nearly 10 kms from their place so they rarely go there. They thought they will ask some of their friends also to join them. They also wanted to take their neigbour's son, Rahul. He was nearly 3 years old, was highly intelligent, loved to put Baba's Udi and loved to hear Baba's songs also. Because of his intelligence he was attending school since six months.
On that particular day, Rahul went as usual to school at 7 45 am and came back at 11 15 am. He himself took out his shoes and socks without any adult helping him. Another neighbour a boy named Shiva Babu was also present at that time. They saw a lump like thing in the socks and took the socks from the kid's hands to see what it was. There was a live scorpion which was immediately killed. Rahul’s mother was worried and asked the child whether he felt any inconvenience, irritation, pain or anything in the leg. But the child felt nothing and how can the little kid who was a devotee of Baba at such young age feel pain. Baba the ever loving mother took care of this little child making even the scorpion forget its nature.
When they discussed about their plan to visit temple, they thought they should not take Rahul as it was difficult to carry him and walk to the temple. So they wanted to leave him at first but when they saw how Baba protected the little kid they changed their mind and took the boy along with them. The child walked all the way to the temple from the Bus Stop without fatigue. They all prayed and thanked Baba for saving this adorable kid. Swami Sai Sharan Anandji says ‘Baba’s help  comes to him who merely seeks His help sincerely. Though there cannot be degrees of sincerity, yet Baba’s response to the devotee’s call for help is as eager, as ardent and as urgent as the devotee’s call itself’.
