Shri S.Subbarao, pleader of gooty was asleep one night in early March 1944,when he
heared the voice of SHRI SAI telling him "RECITE NAMA JAPA 5000 TIMES" having
become accustomed to SAI'S method of warning in his face , Subbarao thought a calamity may befall him.And it did .On the very next day , the office clerk informed
Subbarao that he has been prosecuted under the Indian Arms Act for failing to
deposite his revolver as his license renewal application was rejected due to to subbarao's old age.Which disqualified him to hold & use a revolver. He was summoned for hearing
on 25.03.44 which was then adjourned till 31.03.44. His fellow pleaders advised Subbarao to move the Dist.Magistrate & a petition was accordingly prepared & presented to the Magistrate on 31.03.44 after to days of incessant SAI NAMA JAPA .
Result : Sbbarao was acquited in the Arms Act by the Magistrate .
