Break the coconut means break the head which means

Want to share few lines from a book I read ‘The Fakir’ by Ruzbeh N Barucha.

“Break the coconut means break the head which means to do away with ego and thoughts and all tendencies that originate from the mind. Zoroastrian believe in Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds. Words and deeds originate from thoughts and thoughts originate from small mind and this small mind resides in the head and thus break the damn coconut. When you break a coconut you basically are pledging to break away from mind and thoughts and ego that reside in the mind and do away with the hard shell of false individuality. Only then does it make sense to break the coconut”.
