JAI SAI

Rinanubandha : Part 13 : Radhakrishna Mayi ( Ayi ). Surrounded in mystery, kept aloof by SAI and yet treated her as mother. Ayi was undoubtedly the centre of attention as also comments and criticism. Leaving her ancestralvillage, she arrived in Shiridi in 1905 accompanying Nana Chandorkar as a young widow of 24. Greatly devoted to RADHA KRISHNA , she was known in Shiridi as Radhakrishna Ayi though her original name was SundarabaiKhirsagar. The rinanubandha was strong with SAi else how could she have settled in Shiridi ? Known for her sharp tongue, she never minced words and called a spade a spade. It is presumed that she developed divine powers atShiridi with SAI's grace.Doing various jobs Ayi remained busy all through and SAI though disallowing her from stepping into the Masjid cared for her a lot and regularly sent naivedya prasad at her cottage. She was instrumental in developing the Sansthan.

JAI SAINATH.................................!
